It is midafternoon. The heat is tolerable. Comforting, even. The greens of the trees outside are making a grand gesture of love. And the skies are lined with slits of clouds and sun rays. Autumn music is playing, making a symphony with the chirping birds and clucking chickens. There are chores to be done. And I am recovering from the lull days I intentionally put myself in.
Looking back at my diaries here, I realized that I have been writing here when I feel most immersed in my world, when I feel most present. When I see the sparkles of the sun rays touching the ground, when I start believing that good things can come with such ease, pride, and confidence.

Maybe all I wanted to say is that I love kind days like this. It is when I find grounding in this ever mobile world I am in. It is when I am eating grapes while writing to describe how the world looks like.
For the past days, I tried to claw myself out of the confines of slumber and detachment. My cognition was committed, but my sentiments were elsewhere. I wanted to just be swept away by unreal worlds that reflect artistry, passion, and heroism. But I needed to wake up. My real world requires a different brand of heroics. It is here where we are most needed.
So, today, I winded down my pathways to slowly unlock the caverns of my escape. It's time to see the sun rising again.
I did not expect that I would stand up and see the afternoon beauty as a reward. Now, I go back to my chores and my jobs. Carefully turning the knob to shut the lull days behind. The clouds seem great and it's a good day to feel alive.
